Veteran Owned Pool Service for the Greater Phoenix Area
Veteran owned. Done right every time.
Az Veteran Pools
AZ Veteran Pools is an Army veteran owned pool service and repair company serving homeowners and commercial properties across the Greater Phoenix Area. Owner Thomas Blankenship stays personally involved with every customer, answering questions, explaining what's going on with your equipment, and making sure the work gets done right. The team handles everything from weekly pool service to full equipment installs on Pentair and Waterway systems. Five years in, the reputation is built on one thing: doing the job the way it should be done.
Why AZ Veteran Pools
- Every visit is documented before the tech leaves. You get a photo report of your pool and baskets along with your chemical readings, sent immediately on the spot.
- Techs brush walls, steps, shelves, and the tile line every single visit. Not a quick skim and gone.
- Chemicals are billed based on what your pool actually uses. No flat chemical fees, no paying for product your water didn't need.
- Green pool? It gets handled fast. Often same day or next day, because Thomas knows Arizona heat doesn't give you much time.
- The gate gets closed every single time. On the way in and on the way out. Small detail, big deal if you have kids or pets.
How a Weekly Visit Works
The tech checks in on the app when they arrive, so every visit is logged and timestamped. From there, the skimmer and pump baskets get emptied, the system gets turned on, and the entire pool gets netted top and bottom. Then the walls, steps, shelves, and tile line are all brushed. Every single time. Chemicals are tested and anything the water needs gets added right then. Before the tech leaves, they photograph the pool and baskets, log the chemical readings, and send the report immediately. The gate closes behind them on the way out.

Our Services

Weekly Pool Service
Weekly pool service at AZ Veteran Pools means a full visit every time: baskets emptied, pool netted, walls and tile brushed, chemicals tested and treated. After every visit you get a photo report and your chemical readings so there are no surprises. Chemicals are billed separately based on exactly what your pool requires each week.
Pool Repairs
From leaking equipment to full pump and system replacements, Thomas and his team work on Pentair and Waterway equipment and handle both repairs and full installs. In Arizona, the most common issue is leaking o-rings. Heat expands them in summer and cold contracts them in winter. Over time that movement lets water escape. Our pool repair service is licensed under AZ R-6 ROC 363460, so the work is done to Arizona's standards and you get a straight answer about what needs to happen and why.

Filter Cleaning
Most pool owners don't realize how much a dirty filter affects water quality and equipment strain. AZ Veteran Pools recommends pool filter cleaning every 4 to 6 months. More often if your pool gets heavy use. The filter gets broken down completely, cleaned properly, and reassembled the right way.
Arizona Heat Is Not Forgiving
Phoenix summers are brutal on pool chemistry. Miss one week of proper treatment and your water can turn green fast. Sometimes within days. That's not an exaggeration, it's just how the heat works on an untreated pool. Staying on a consistent schedule is the best way to protect your water and your equipment. Beyond weekly chemistry, pools in the Valley should be drained and refilled every 2 to 3 years as minerals build up over time. O-rings on pumps and equipment should be replaced once a year before the heat sets in. These aren't upsells. They're the maintenance steps that keep small problems from turning into expensive repairs.
